Title: The spice you need in the summer. |
Article:
I recently really wanted to find and read some good fantasy book to spice up the summer. So I decided let’s make a blog so readers like you can also enjoy my recommendations. When I wanted to write an article I immediately thought of this book. It is written by Elise Kova but she is much more than a writer, she has her own website with a lot of things such as her books, a merchandise store but also one on one coaching! Surprisingly she isn’t really that popular, which is a shame because her stories are always really good. Air Awakens is the first book of the set out of five, the other books having a similar name with different elements. The story takes place in a capital where we follow a young lady named Vhalla Yarl who works as a library apprentice but then… she unknowingly saves a live with elemental magic she wasn’t supposed to have. And now her life will truly begin… And that’s why this series is eye-catching and mind blowing with lots of twists, romance and sad moments.
That’s brings us to our second book of the blog.Another magical book, because magic is my weak spot for fantasy books. Seer King written by Chris Bunch, famous for his science fiction and fantasy novels. He worked with Allan Cole on a multiple books involving a hero named Sten in a galactic empire. He also wrote for Rolling Stone and was a correspondent for Stars and Strips. He died in his hometown of Ilwaco, Washington, after a long battle with a lung ailment. Seer king is the first book of the trilogy of three books where we follow the story of a cavalry officer Damastes and a wizard named Tenedos where they fight together to make the Empire great again, but that reality brings a lot of danger.
And last but not least; The lost boy written by Camilla Lackberg, although this isn’t a fantasy book, it is a wonderfully written with interesting sub plots and an amazing main story. In the story we follow multiple families around, but the main character is a police officer called Patrick Hedstrom, who after taking a break off work, is back and immediately is thrown into the deep of this story. A man found dead in his apartment with a bullet in his head but even the victim left a lot of secrets around… As for Camilla herself, she really liked her father’s literature bookshelf and calls herself a crime specialist. Fans have also called her “The Swedish Agatha Christie” which is a huge compliment. She likes it when she can set a scene in her head on what she is writing on, so she has a movie playing in her head. She is also known for her in-depth characters.
