Korte samenvatting
Seer King is the first book of Chris Bunch’s Seer King trilogy. The story is set in Numantia, which is a dying empire – outlaws and rebels plague the provinces. The Empire’s rulers ignore the ancient forces of dark magic growing around them. For our two main characters however, this is a time of both possibility and danger.

The Young Cavalry officer Damastus and the wizard Tenedos were supposed to have died in an ambush. But Damastus is a skilled warrior, unflinching in the face of danger, while Tenedos is a seer of the highest order, and their enemies underestimated them. Their adventure takes them to face off against usurpers and necromancers, and word spreads that they tread a destined path. For the two, it leads to great dangers, and for Numantia it leads the way to a renaissance of sorts, in service of the Goddess of Death.

Recensies
Goodreads.com: “I admit I wasn’t sure what to make of it because I hadn’t read any of Chris Bunch’s other works but I’m now determined to read all of his fantasy as well as science fiction novels. This is an excellent Game of Thrones-esque novel with twists, turns, and politics behind it. “
