Zomerpakket: Fantasy

The Peshawar Lancers:

In the mid-1870s, a violent spray of comets hits the Northern Hemisphere, decimating cities, erasing shorelines, and changing the world’s climate forever. In the twenty-first century, boats still run on steam and the British Empire in Delhi, which controls much of the world, is about to enter into a deadly conflict with the Empire of All Russias, its greatest rival.

The Circle and the Cross:

The Island of Eirinn is in turmoil. Black-robed monks have made their way across the tempestuous sea from Rome and have set the people at war with eachother. The High-King and his Druid Council know they cannot defeat Rome by themselves, and that they must resort to other means to save their traditions. An unusual boy, a boy with the sight, must help…a blacksmith’s son named Mawn.

Deel 1 van de The Wanderers serie.

Secret Sacrament:

A terrified young Navaron child watches helplessly from his hiding place as a young Shinali woman is brutally beaten and abused by a group of drunken Navaron men. Too frightened to answer her pleas for help, the child runs away, taking with him the sacred bone carving of the Shinali people. In doing so, he forever binds himself and his fate to them. Gabriel is no ordinary boy. His life is now marked out for greatness by powers beyond his understanding…

North Child:

North Child, originally released as East is a retelling of of the old Norwegian folk tale East of the Sun and West of the Moon.

Rose was born into the world facing north, and as a north child, superstition says that she will be a wanderer, traveling far from home. Not knowing that her mother heard a prophecy years ago that if she had a north child they would die crushed beneath an avalanche of ice and snow, Rose leaves her home on the back of a strange white bear, and learns that she must journey to a land east of the sun and west of the moon to fulfil her destiny.
