Honderd en één jaar geleden hebben de technologisch geavanceerde V’ornn de planeet veroverd. De originele inwoners worden onderdrukt en gedwongen tot slavernij. Hun geloof wordt vervangen door de nieuwe, door de V’ornn bedachte religie, en langzaam verdwijnt magie uit de wereld en breekt de solidariteit van de Kundala bevolking.

De mysterieuze leiders van Kundala, de Gyrgon, geloven in het eeuwige leven, in de vorm van de Parel, een heilig artefact. Om deze Parel te bezitten, moeten ze eerst De Ring van Vijf Draken vinden, een sleutel van het mysterieuze Opslagruimte.

De Opslagruimte bevindt zich onder het paleis van de Regent, Eleusis Ashera, een optimistische en vooruitstrevende V’ornn. Wanneer het paleis wordt aangevallen door een rivaal van de Regent, ontsnapt zijn zoon, Annon, met behulp van de Kundalische tovenares Giyan, aan de brute moord op de Regent en de rest van zijn familie.

Om zichzelf te verdedigen en om wraak te nemen voor de moord op zijn vader, geeft Annon zich langzaam over aan de magie van de Kundalische religie.

Uiteindelijk blijkt dat Annon de gekozene is om Kundala te bevrijden van de tirannie van de V’ornn.

In this version of the classic good versus evil, we find ourselves on the planet Kundala. Using the conflict between spirituality and technology as the backbone of The Ring of Five Dragons, we find ourselves in the clash of two cultures and the battle between them. One hundred and one years ago, it was conquered by the technologically advanced and brutal V’ornn. The original people of Kundala were forced into slavery and suppression. Their religion is replaced by a new one, which was concocted by the V’ornn, causing the magic to disappear from the land and the solidarity of the Kundala people to break.

The mystical leaders of the Kundala, the Gyrgon, believe in eternal life, in the form of The Pearl, a holy artefact. To possess the Pearl, they must first find the Ring of Five Dragons, a key to the fabled Storehouse.

The Storehouse is located under the palace of the Regent, Eleusis Ashera, an optimistic and progressive V’ornn. When the palace is attacked by rivals of the Regent, his son, Annon, escapes. Helped by the Kundala sorceress Giyan, he escapes the brutal murder of his family. To defend himself and to avenge his father’s murder, Annon submerges himself into the magic of the Kundala religion. Turns out, he is part of an ancient prophecy to liberate Kundala of the oppression of the V’ornn.
